Compassionate Conversations: Nonviolent Communication
Join us for "Compassionate Conversations: Nonviolent Communication," where you'll learn about the Dispute Resolution Center's resources, the Interest Based Conflict Resolution model, the four steps of Nonviolent Communication, and the DRC's Youth Services offerings to enhance community connection and understanding.

Heartsparkle Players and The Thunders
Join us for an enchanting evening at ORLA with Olympia's Heartsparkle Players and the Thunders, as they present a Playback Theatre performance themed around Stories of Compassion and Kindness. This unique art form transforms personal stories into music, dialogue, and movement, fostering community and understanding. Experience the warmth of collective storytelling, whether by sharing your own story or enjoying the performance, and celebrate the power of compassion and connection with us!
Caregiver Workshop: Building Executive Function in Our Kids
Join us for an empowering workshop tailored for caregivers aiming to support their children's growth through understanding executive function. Led by ADHD coach Colley Joubert, this session will focus on learning about executive function, effective communication with our kids about their challenges, and developing personalized systems to help them thrive. Parent's Night Out

Back to School Movie Night
Join us for a fun-filled evening at ORLA PTA’s Back to School Movie Night, featuring The Garfield Movie! It’s a perfect opportunity for the whole family to have fun together and be part of our larger ORLA community. Doors open at 6:00 and the movie starts at 6:30. Bring blankets for more comfortable seating.
The event will include a selection of concessions available for purchase, so you can snack on your favorites while you watch. All proceeds from the concessions go straight back into our school and programs.
Please remember, this is a family event—childcare will not be provided, so plan to stay and enjoy the evening with your kids. We look forward to seeing you there for an entertaining movie experience!

Spring Flower Power Fundraiser
Add color to your garden or purchase bulbs for the ORLA gardens. It’s the perfect time to get fall bulbs into the ground! Proceeds from this fundraising will help to support the ORLA PTA general fund.

First Family Movie Night
Our first movie night is Friday, February 23rd in the ORLA Commons at 6pm! In honor of Black History Month we will be showing Soul.
Admission is free! Snacks will be available for purchase. Purchases help keep the PTA funded. We hope to see you there!

Art for Kids School
Art for Kids School acquaints students with various materials, to develop p skills, thereby enhancing their self-esteem in regard to their creativity (in a technique-based, sequential-learning program, similar to piano lessons). Students will have an opportunity to explore their creativity through a variety of materials including pen & ink, watercolors, acrylics, oil & soft pastels, & clay. Drawing, painting, & sculpting techniques are incorporated in these classes taught by professional, degreed artists. These are ongoing classes, open to new & returning students; projects are not repeated. $248.00 in full or in 4 installments of $62.00, + $5 registration. All supplies are included!

4 Kidz® in this 8-week class to learn to build an epic movie using the
#1 Children’s programming Language on the planet, Scratch. Students
will make a take-home minifigure then turn it into a virtual character
to be used in their very own movie! Each week, kids learn how to
implement different elements and techniques. Coding Level:
Beginner-friendly but previous experience is also welcome.
